Job description

We are an Independent Service Provider for FedEx operating out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
In your role as a delivery driver, you will report to the Fedex Station where your truck will be loaded. Each day you will deliver and pick up packages within a route before returning the truck to the terminal at day's end. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
• Conducting pre/post trip inspections
• Organize and secure preloaded packages in step vans or box trucks.
• Use a handheld device for scanning and route management
• Safely deliver and pickup packages to businesses or residential locations by navigating routing software
• Maintain communication with management team
• Ability to listen, follow directions, resolve customer concerns and problem solve
In order to qualify for the driver position, you must have all of the following:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a current valid California driver’s license (Commercial license not required)
• Clean driving record - No Accidents, Suspensions, DUI's, moving violations, etc. in the past 3 years
• Verifiable driving experience (Mandatory 1 year driving experience within the last 3 years)
• Eligible to work in US
• Clean criminal record (no major misdemeanors or felonies in past 10 years)
• Able to pass physical (including drug test)
• Be able to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with hand truck or dolly.•
Previous experience driving for Fedex, Amazon, DHL, or other delivery service a plus. In addition, previous experience driving a box truck is also a plus.
