What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Go Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Go Developer, you need a solid understanding of the Go programming language, concurrent programming principles, and software engineering fundamentals, often backed by a degree in computer science or related experience. Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms is typically required, along with experience in RESTful API development. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills set outstanding Go developers apart. These capabilities are vital to building robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that meet business and user needs.

What is a Go Developer?

A Go Developer is a software engineer who specializes in using the Go programming language (also known as Golang) to build applications, systems, and services. Go Developers are often responsible for creating scalable and efficient back-end solutions, working with APIs, and optimizing performance. They may also collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver robust software products. Go is particularly popular for cloud services, networking tools, and distributed systems due to its simplicity and concurrency support.

What is the difference between Go Developer vs Python Developer?

AspectGo DeveloperPython Developer

Employer & Industry UsageTech companies, startups, cloud providersWeb development, data science, automation firms

Both Go Developers and Python Developers work in software development but focus on different areas. Go Developers typically work on high-performance backend systems and microservices, while Python Developers often handle web applications, data analysis, and scripting. The choice depends on the project requirements and industry focus.

What are some common challenges Go Developers face when working on large-scale projects?

Go Developers working on large-scale projects often encounter challenges related to managing dependencies, ensuring code maintainability, and optimizing performance. As projects grow, organizing packages and maintaining clear code structure become crucial for facilitating collaboration and minimizing technical debt. Additionally, Go's concurrency model, while powerful, requires careful design to avoid race conditions and ensure efficient resource utilization. Regular code reviews, automated testing, and clear documentation are essential practices to overcome these challenges and contribute effectively to large Go teams.

OXOS Medical

Atlanta, GA • On-site

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement

Re-posted 13 days ago

Job description

OXOS Medical, Inc. empowers every provider with the capability, clarity, and confidence to make accurate decisions at the point of care. We are building new kinds of radiographic imaging devices that push the boundaries of previous solutions by improving image quality, reducing radiation exposure, improving ease of use, and building solutions to deliver care outside of traditional scenarios. We enable anyone anywhere to access radiologic diagnostics at the point of need, expanding availability and changing how healthcare is delivered.
Location: Atlanta preferred; high-trust hybrid or on-site leadership strongly preferred
OXOS is building point-of-care imaging systems that enable providers to diagnose and treat patients faster, with greater clarity and flexibility. Our products improve portability, reduce radiation exposure, and open new ways to deliver radiographic imaging beyond traditional fixed environments.
OXOS is looking for a hands-on Go-To-Market (GTM) Engineer to own and scale the demand-generation marketing function. This is not a social-only role, nor is it an agency-management role. This role has a technical component, leveraging, implementing, and deploying AI-first workflows and products into the function. The candidate will be responsible for driving measurable commercial results by creating a qualified pipeline, sharpening positioning, strengthening brand credibility, equipping the sales team, and raising the department's output standards.
What This Person Will Own
  • Growth marketing and performance marketing across paid, organic, and referral channels.
  • Analytics, attribution, CRM workflows, dashboarding, and campaign instrumentation.
  • Vendor management, workflow design, and the use of AI to increase in-house output.

What Success Looks Like
  • The candidate builds a clear, measurable demand engine that consistently creates qualified demos and pipeline for OXOS's target markets.
  • The candidate enhances OXOS's positioning and content so that customers, distributors, KOLs, and internal teams can clearly and consistently explain OXOS's value.
  • The candidate eliminates dependence on external vendors by personally delivering high-quality work and implementing AI-assisted marketing systems to increase velocity.
  • The candidate raises the department's standards by coaching the team, clarifying ownership, and establishing a visible operating rhythm tied to business outcomes.

Required Experience
  • Three or more years in growth marketing, performance marketing, product marketing, demand generation, or closely related B2B marketing roles with clear ownership of measurable outcomes.
  • Experience owning pipeline creation, budget tradeoffs, campaign strategy, and funnel performance rather than only supporting other functions.
  • Experience in marketing a complex, technical, clinical, regulated, or otherwise high-consideration product.
  • Track record across multiple functions, including paid acquisition, lifecycle or CRM, landing pages, and analytics.
  • Experience leading direct reports, contractors, agencies, or cross-functional contributors in a fast-moving startup or growth-stage environment.
  • Strong writing ability and the judgment required to turn technical information into persuasive commercial material.

Preferred Background
  • Engineer.
  • Strong exposure and curiosity to AI-assisted and no-code tools.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and scripting.
  • Comfort operating in environments where the marketing leader must personally create copy, build workflows, and ship assets.
  • Medical device, imaging, healthcare IT, provider-facing software, capital equipment, or other complex B2B healthcare experience.
  • Understanding of clinicians, KOLs, and health tech buyers

Why This Role Is Compelling
The right candidate will have the chance to build the operating model, shape the message, grow the team, and directly influence commercial outcomes at a company, creating a new standard for point-of-care imaging.
Benefits and Perks
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Competitive pay and equity in the company
  • The opportunity to work with an innovative, early-stage company that is changing medical imaging as we know it
  • Endless opportunities for growth and development
