Job TitleGMP Cleaner, Full Time 3rd ShiftJob Description SummaryThe GMP Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment to control microbial contamination and correct viable excursion contamination. This role requires strict compliance with cGMP standards, established cleaning protocols, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
As a union position, the GMP Cleaner may be assigned to specific locations and must be flexible with scheduling, including non-standard shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. This position is critical to ensuring a sterile environment and acceptable environmental monitoring results in support of manufacturing operations.Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitization Tasks

  • Perform routine GMP-level cleaning of assigned areas, ensuring all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized to standards.

  • Vacuum all floors using cleanroom-rated vacuums.

  • Damp mop floors using approved disinfectants and cleanroom-rated equipment, following cleanroom procedures.

  • Wipe and clean all horizontal and vertical surfaces, including doors, frames, glass, and partitions using Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

  • Pull and replace tacky mats; clean under mats thoroughly.

  • Damp dust ceiling air conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, registers, and other ventilation components.

  • Clean floor surfaces as needed according to GMP protocols.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, real-time electronic logbooks for all cleaning procedures performed.

  • Ensure the correct use and rotation of sanitization disinfectants in accordance with SOPs.

  • Complete all GMP documentation with accuracy and integrity.

  • Participate in ongoing training programs (SOP, safety, disinfectant usage).

  • Adhere strictly to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures, including correct use of PPE.

  • Follow established gowning procedures and wear full PPE for the majority of the shift.

Inventory & Support Tasks

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of sanitization supply areas.

  • Participate in inventory management and cycle counts for cleaning supplies and gowning articles to ensure stock levels meet daily needs.

  • Collaborate with the Site Services Manager to coordinate cleaning schedules that ensure compliance with GMP requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience:Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or GMP cleaning environment.

  • Language Skills:Must be able to speak and read English to understand task instructions and complete documentation accurately.

  • Work Ethic:Ability to take direction, work independently with minimal supervision, and operate effectively as part of a team.

  • Attention to Detail:High level of accuracy, organizational skills, and pride in maintaining service excellence.

  • Endurance:Capable of standing, walking, bending, and working in PPE for extended periods.

  • Attitude:Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious, with a strong sense of ownership over cleanliness and compliance.
