Field Service Engineer – CNC & Industrial Machinery

Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 + Benefits
Type: Full-Time | Travel-Based

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Nashville, TN. We are a veteran-friendly organization and strongly encourage military veterans to apply. You will work independently from your home base, providing expert support for advanced CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. This is a hands-on role where you will be the "go-to" technical expert for our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
  • Install & Test: Perform post-installation testing to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Train & Educate: Conduct on-site training for customer operators on machine function, maintenance, and safety.
  • Document: Accurately log service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions.
  • Travel: Manage a regional travel schedule with regular overnight stays to support customer sites.

What You Need

  • Education: 2-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology) or equivalent military technical experience or demonstrated experience in the maintenance field.
  • Experience: Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment; proficiency with PLCs is a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics; skilled in using diagnostic tools (gauges, test indicators, force meters).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
