A GLS Driver is responsible for transporting packages, freight, or goods for GLS (General Logistics Systems), a parcel delivery and logistics company. As a GLS Driver, your day usually begins with collecting your delivery manifest, loading packages, and mapping out your delivery route. Throughout the day, you'll deliver shipments to residential and commercial locations, ensuring that all items are handled with care and that delivery documentation is completed accurately using handheld devices. You'll frequently interact with customers, making professionalism and clear communication important. The role is fast-paced and often involves working independently, but you'll also coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse teams to resolve any delivery issues and maintain efficient operations.
To thrive as a GLS Driver, you need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a strong understanding of safe vehicle operation and delivery protocols. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, handheld scanners, and route optimization software is typically required for efficient package tracking and delivery. Excellent customer service skills, time management, and reliability set top candidates apart in this role. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring prompt, accurate deliveries and maintaining a positive reputation for the company.

Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse or production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, attention to safety standards, and the ability to follow company procedures.
Work directly with the Depot Manager, Depot Supervisor and Cross Dock Supervisor in coordinating the receiving and processing of all inbound freight; supervise, guide, and direct leads and warehouse personnel to ensure all inbound freight is offloaded, processed, sorted, palletized and loaded in a timely manner; inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and miss-routed packages; communicate with managers, leads, and package handlers; coordinate warehouse changes and make adjustments as needed; assist with training new personnel as well as review current/new procedures with staff; estimate pallets weights prior to loading to ensure trucks are below GVWR requirements; communicate with inbound drivers to estimate volumes, assign dock doors, and ensure timely arrivals to the office; perform other related duties as required. The Cross Dock Operations Coordinator is also expected to meet performance standards set by management and to comply with all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
