Riverside Overview Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country's most challenging technical problems. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. Position Overview Riverside Research is seeking an experienced Sr Program Manager to lead materials characterization and modeling R&D programs. This individual will manage a large technically diverse team, fostering customer relationships, while overseeing financials, cost, and schedule for a variety of projects and contracts. This position requires a leader with a proven track record of providing their staff growth opportunities by identifying, capturing, and winning new contract work in addition to on-contract growth to expand their portfolio and diversify our customer base. Responsibilities * Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with a variety of stakeholders
* Supervise and mentor a large, technically diverse team
* Execute independently program management duties that include, but are not limited to, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining work plans and timelines, tracking and projecting program spending, preparing status reports/briefs, and ensuring program status is communicated to all stakeholders
* Work closely with the customer, cross-functional teams, and assigned engineers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget, and schedule
* Collaborate with government customers, contractor partners, and technical leads to develop long-term strategies and prioritize near-term tasking
* Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with government and contract mission partners across the Department of War (DoW) and Intelligence Communities (IC)
* Manage subcontracting, consulting, and procurement activities for assigned programs
* Assess program issues and develop resolutions to meet schedule, quality, and customer goals
* Identify and capture new growth opportunities to expand business portfolio
* Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/SAP
* 12+ years of experience and a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Business/Management/Entrepreneurship, or related fields
* Active Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
* Prior program management experience with a DoW or IC contractor
* Must have recent experience managing R&D programs
* Proven track record of identifying, capturing, and solidifying new work along with on-contract growth opportunities
* Experience managing financials across a variety of projects and contracts
* Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and procurement activities
* Experience in proposal development * Demonstrated experience creating and presenting reports, briefings, and program related information to a variety of government and internal stakeholders Global Comp $130,000 - $190,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
