  • This role serves as the execution right hand to the client's Senior Director of Household Products, bringing structure, discipline, and day-to-day ownership to a rapidly growing global new product development program spanning manufacturing partners in China, electronics teams in Europe, and regulatory workstreams across multiple markets.
Job Summary
  • Lead day-to-day operating rhythm for global NPD programs, including weekly project meetings, milestone reviews, and executive status updates.
  • Build and maintain integrated master project schedules that track scope, timeline, budget, costs, dependencies, and success criteria across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Own all project documentation including Project Charters, RACI matrices, RAID logs, Action Trackers, Decision Logs, and Stage-Gate deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning Product Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, Software/App/IoT, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and global Business Units.
  • Drive accountability for owners, dates, dependencies, risks, and decisions; facilitate trade-off discussions and support executive decision making.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to track Design Freeze, Prototype Builds, Validation, Pilot/Field Testing, Tooling, and Production Readiness milestones.
  • Proactively identify, log, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues with recommendations and clear articulation of business impact.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional global product development programs.
  • Experience working directly with China
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with manufacturing or development partners in China, including comfort with early morning calls and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Experience managing both hardware and software/connected product development (firmware, mobile apps, cloud, or IoT).
  • Proficiency with Jira and Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules, budgets ($1M ), risk logs, and executive communications simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, proactive communicator who can work independently and keep multiple workstreams on track without close supervision.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory planning and multi-market product approvals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or Scrum/Agile certification.
  • Experience with Confluence and Arena/PLM or similar product lifecycle management tools.
  • Background managing consumer products with connected device or IoT components.
  • Experience working with European engineering or electronics development teams.
