Job Title: Manager, Global Public Relations Location-Type: Hybrid, Must currently be in New York, NY or Houston, TX (3 days onsite, Tuesday-Thursday) Start Date: Early September Duration: Contract, 6 months Compensation Range: $45-55/hour W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: This role serves as a front-line media relations professional within a fast-paced global communications team, managing inbound press inquiries, driving proactive outreach, and protecting the organization's reputation across high-profile and complex press situations. Job Summary Monitor and manage the press office inbox, triaging and responding to inbound media inquiries on a daily basis Conduct direct media handling for announcements including office openings, acquisitions, and dispositions Source and develop profile opportunities for executive and organizational visibility across US media Pitch and build relationships with journalists across target publications to support proactive communications goals Draft content for social media channels and internal communications in support of broader PR initiatives Support and advise on complicated or sensitive press issues, escalating and managing responses appropriately Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align communications efforts with business announcements and strategic priorities Minimum Requirements: 5-7 years of direct media relations experience in a corporate or agency environment Demonstrated experience managing complex or sensitive press issues and crisis communications Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for media, social, and internal audiences Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field Background in regulated or transaction-driven industries such as real estate, investment management, or financial services Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PR analytics platforms such as Meltwater or similar tools Familiarity with real estate transactions, leasing, or property-related communications Background in financial services, infrastructure, or corporate retail communications Experience supporting or executing large-scale communications initiatives or ambassador programs
