About the role
The Director of Global Missions ensures the seamless execution of Christ Covenant's church-shaped missions vision. This role focuses on operational leadership, strategic communications, partner engagement, conference execution, and logistical oversight. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, relationally strong, and administratively gifted leader who thrives in both execution and strategic thinking.
What you'll do
Operational Leadership & Execution
  • Direct and execute key missions initiatives such as RTW Trips, the Missions Intensive, Lunch & Learns, and leader trainings, ensuring alignment with the church's strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for logistics, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Lead special projects, providing bandwidth for Mission Pastor's strategic vision focus.
  • Supervise and develop the Missions Associate, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Oversee and manage Christ Covenant's missions budget in alignment with the strategic vision of the Pastor of Missions.

Partner Engagement & Investment Management
  • Serve as a primary liaison for global mission partners, ensuring strong relationships, accountability, and impact evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Pastor of Missions for all budget considerations, financial requests, and create proposals
  • Oversee Mission Associate for the execution of all financial transactions.
  • Maintain our partner care strategy alongside Christ Covenant's Counseling Ministry, including financial investment tracking, prayer support, leader training, and regular check-ins.
  • Oversee reporting structures in concert with Missions Associate to assess partner effectiveness and alignment with church missions convictions.

Missions Conference & Event Oversight
  • Overall oversight & execution of RTW conference.
  • Work with Missions Associate to coordinate logistics, speakers, marketing, and volunteer teams to ensure excellence in execution.
  • Alongside the Pastor of Missions helps develop programming that aligns with the church's vision for global missions.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Work closely with the Local Outreach Director, Training & Development Director, and five apprentices to align efforts.
  • Provide direct oversight and coaching for the Missions Associate
  • Assist in organizing the deployment pathway of future missionaries and church planters through training initiatives. Work closely with the Pastor of Missions & Director of Training & Development on our Sending pipeline.

Qualifications
  • College degree is preferred.
  • Experience in personal, one-on-one discipleship experience is highly preferred. Also preferred is experience serving in a local church or ministry setting.
  • Strong administrative and operational leadership skills.
  • Proven experience in missions, partner care, or large-scale event planning.
  • Strategic thinker who can execute vision with excellence.
  • Skilled in communication, storytelling, and mobilization.
  • Highly relational, with strong pastoral and leadership instincts.
  • Ability to travel internationally and manage cross-cultural relationships.
  • Passion for local and global missions, with theological alignment to an ecclesiocentric missions philosophy.
