As we expand our operations and commercial footprint, we are seeking a high-impact Sales Lead - Lithium Offtake to spearhead strategic customer engagement and revenue-generating agreements across global markets.
The Role
The Sales Lead, Lithium Offtake will be responsible for developing and closing commercial agreements
for lithium products and technology offerings. This includes initiating and managing offtake negotiations,
advancing licensing and sampling initiatives, and laying the foundation for a growing sales organization.
The ideal candidate brings proven commercial experience in chemicals, minerals, or commodity sales,
coupled with a strong grasp of the global battery supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Drive Commercial Agreements: Lead customer engagement to secure long-term offtake agreements for lithium products aligned with capacity ramp-up plans.
โ€ข Support Strategic Prepayments: Negotiate financial terms including potential prepayment structures to support project development and commercial momentum.
โ€ข Advance Technology Licensing: Collaborate across technical and legal teams to structure licensing agreements for proprietary lithium extraction technologies.
โ€ข Coordinate Customer Qualification: Oversee sample deliveries and manage technical-commercial alignment with customers for product validation and qualification.
โ€ข Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and non-binding agreements with key partners to demonstrate market traction and support stakeholder visibility.
โ€ข Sales Team Development: Contribute to the design and scaling of a global sales function, aligning talent and resources to future growth and market needs.
Qualifications
โ€ข 5+ years of experience in chemical supply chains, minerals or futures sales, preferably within a mining, specialty chemicals, or energy materials company.
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree
a plus.
โ€ข Proven track record of closing complex commercial deals with industrial or battery supply chain customers.
โ€ข Strong understanding of the global battery materials value chain, including OEMs, cathode/anode makers, and raw material processors.
โ€ข Executive presence with the ability to represent the company with customers, partners, and senior stakeholders.
โ€ข Experience working with cross-functional teams across legal, finance, operations, and R&D to bring deals to execution.
โ€ข Global market exposure and ability to manage customer relationships across multiple regions and cultures.
โ€ข Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
