Job description

Global Marketing Manager - Industrial Technology Location: North America - flexible, with preference for Midwest US, Western US or Canada Industry: Industrial Equipment / Heavy Equipment / Mining Technology Scope: Global marketing responsibility with an immediate focus on accelerating North American growth The Company Our client is a growing, private equity-backed industrial technology business specialising in engineered solutions designed to improve operator safety across demanding mining & heavy-equipment environments. The company has built a strong and established position within its home market and works alongside major global equipment manufacturers, dealers and end users. North America represents one of the organisation's most significant growth opportunities. Following investment in its regional infrastructure, dealer network and commercial capabilities, the business is now looking to strengthen its marketing function to accelerate market penetration. As part of this next phase, the company is looking to appoint a Global Marketing Manager . The Opportunity This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of marketing within a growing international industrial business. The Global Marketing Manager will develop and execute the company's marketing strategy, with an immediate priority around building brand awareness, generating market demand and enabling the North American dealer network to grow sales . This is not a traditional corporate communications or purely brand-focused marketing position. The organisation is looking for someone who understands how marketing can directly contribute to commercial growth - generating leads, supporting dealers, developing new markets and increasing end-user demand. The successful candidate will need to be equally comfortable developing the strategy and executing it . Operating within an entrepreneurial, PE-backed environment, you will have significant autonomy to identify opportunities, make recommendations to senior leadership and move quickly into execution. Key Responsibilities North American Growth Strategy Develop and execute the marketing and go-to-market strategy for the US and Canadian markets . Increase brand awareness and establish a stronger position within a developing North American market. Identify the most effective routes to market across dealers, OEM relationships and end users. Build targeted campaigns designed to create measurable commercial opportunities. Identify new market segments, customer groups and applications where the business can accelerate penetration. Use market intelligence and customer insight to inform future commercial strategy. Dealer & Channel Marketing Work closely with the North American dealer network to develop effective dealer-led marketing campaigns . Generate qualified leads and opportunities that can be directed into the dealer network. Develop co-branded initiatives, sales collateral and dealer enablement tools. Support dealers in communicating the company's technical and commercial value proposition. Work closely with commercial leadership to increase dealer engagement and market coverage. Build a scalable channel-marketing approach capable of supporting continued international expansion. Demand & Lead Generation Develop campaigns that create direct awareness amongst equipment operators, industrial customers and end users . Build an inbound marketing capability that complements dealer-led business development. Develop digital, content, campaign and event strategies that create measurable sales opportunities. Establish KPIs to measure campaign performance, lead generation and commercial return. Continuously assess and optimise the channels delivering the strongest results. Brand & Market Development Strengthen the company's positioning across North America. Translate complex technical products and safety benefits into clear, commercially compelling messaging. Ensure consistent brand representation across dealers, customers, events and digital channels. Develop market-specific messaging for different industries, applications and customer groups. Support wider global marketing initiatives as the organisation continues its international expansion. Events & Industry Engagement Develop the strategy around trade shows, dealer conferences and industry events. Identify where marketing investment will generate the strongest commercial return. Develop campaigns around key events to generate opportunities before, during and after attendance. Remain willing to be hands-on with event execution where required. Marketing Leadership Take ownership of the wider marketing roadmap, priorities and budget. Lead and coordinate a small existing international marketing resource alongside digital support. Manage external agencies and suppliers where appropriate. Partner closely with sales, dealer management, engineering, product and senior leadership. Develop the processes, systems and reporting required to create a structured and commercially accountable marketing function. The Ideal Candidate The successful individual will be a commercially minded marketer who combines strategic capability with hands-on execution. Direct mining experience would be advantageous but is not essential . More important is a strong understanding of industrial products, dealer/distributor networks and the North American market . Experience & Capabilities The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate: Strong B2B marketing experience within an industrial, technical or OEM environment. Experience working with dealer, distributor or channel-based sales models . Strong knowledge of the North American industrial market. Experience developing or executing a go-to-market strategy for a new product, geography or customer segment. Evidence of using marketing to generate qualified leads and measurable commercial growth . Experience developing campaigns alongside sales teams and channel partners. Strong digital and demand-generation capability. Ability to translate complex technical products into compelling commercial messaging. Experience managing trade shows, industry events and dealer conferences. Confidence influencing senior leadership and challenging existing approaches. Ability to operate autonomously without requiring a large marketing infrastructure. The Person This opportunity will suit someone who is: Strategic but hands-on - able to set the direction while personally driving execution. Commercially focused - motivated by revenue, leads and market penetration. Proactive - able to identify what needs to happen without waiting for detailed direction. Entrepreneurial - comfortable operating within a growing, PE-backed organisation. Decisive - able to make recommendations and move quickly into execution. Collaborative - capable of partnering effectively with sales, dealers, engineering, product and senior leadership. Adaptable - equally comfortable discussing strategy with executives and rolling up their sleeves to deliver a campaign. Why Join? This is an opportunity to move beyond the constraints of a traditional corporate marketing environment and take genuine ownership of an international marketing function . The successful candidate will join at an important stage of the company's North American expansion, with the ability to shape how the organisation approaches the market and directly influence its growth trajectory. You will have access to senior decision-makers, the freedom to challenge existing approaches and the autonomy to turn strong ideas into action quickly. For an experienced industrial marketer looking for greater ownership, visibility and commercial impact , this represents an opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit it.
