Job Summary

The Director, Global Events and Engagement sets direction, establishes goals and event strategies, manages event program development and execution of Global B2B and B2C Events. In this position, you will be responsible for the implementation of the B2B Events plan for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Aligning with the global Marketing team and their strategic vision, you will develop event strategies, manage budgets, develop and execute programs and events globally.


You will oversee the logistics associated with the pre-event and post-event phases of an event, as well as the related transitions between all event phases.


In addition to event management responsibilities, this position also serves as the primary contact, organizer, and facilitator for all Trade and direct engagement activities.


Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute the Global Event strategy, processes, and programs that are aligned with the global Marketing and Sales vision, including setting objectives, initiatives, processes, and standards.

  • Works in coordination with Global Marketing and continental B2C Marketing leads to ensure brand communication and programs are fully integrated at all GSO B2B client touchpoints.

  • Manage and create an annual events calendar that incorporates all B2B and B2C events and engagements.

  • Ensure the visual and verbal identity of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection marketing functions is aligned globally, and marketing design guidelines are followed and activated in all events and engagements.

  • Manage B2B and B2C event logistics for all customer events and internal company meetings and trade events by working directly with internal/external customers, onboard teams, outside vendors, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Responsible for logistics planning to include site inspection, program design/flow, food and beverage, entertainment, marketing collateral, amenity program, and group activities.

  • Manage program costs to ensure adherence to allocated budget, maintaining full accountability for budgets relating to events and engagement.

  • Serve as point of contact for all meetings and events, and coordinate logistics for all aspects of the program (travel, BEOs, etc).

  • Responsible for maintaining tradeshow booth(s) as needed for industry events.

  • Continuously improves department, program, team, and job structures and ensures clear leadership accountabilities are in place.

  • Performs other reasonable duties as required for the position.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

  • 10+ years of senior B2B event leadership experience in luxury goods, superyachts, private aviation, or high-end hospitality

  • Proven success driving revenue through trade and distribution networks

  • Experience managing global, high-profile industry events

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets

  • Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills

  • Willingness to travel internationally (20-25%)
