Mold Machine Operator
 
Location: Newaygo, MI
 
Shift: 3rd shift
 
Pay: $18.07 per hour
 
Job Summary
 
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Mold Machine Operator to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to produce high-quality plastic and glass components for the automobile industry.
 
What You'll Be Doing
 
As a Mold Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Assembly and Fastening: Following written and visual guidelines to accurately fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, or heatstake.
  • Machine Operation: Tending to and operating plastic injection molding and other machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations in the assembly cell.
  • Flexible Production Support: Rotating to different workstations as production needs require, which includes using various fixtures to attach components like springs, electrical connectors, and mirror glass.
In addition, you will also be expected to work safely, maintain 5S standards, keep your work area clean, and accurately complete all necessary paperwork on time (such as glass traceability, scrap sheets, and daily production reports).
 
What We're Looking For
 
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
 
Qualifications:
  • Able to read and interpret a variety of written procedures, part numbers, part descriptions, and operation instruction sheets.
  • Able to understand and write production tags and labels.
  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. (most parts weigh 5-8 lbs.).

  • Attention to Detail: To ensure the accuracy of assemblies and compliance with quality standards, taking pride in your work.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: To work well with other employees in a team environment and rotate efficiently through production stations.
