Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Omni Glass & Paint is hiring a full-time Machine Operator to join our warehouse and production team. Our production schedule typically runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 3:30pm, with a short four-hour shift every Friday. Pay starts at $20 per hour, with excellent benefits, room to grow, and a positive, team-focused environment.

Position summary:

The Machine Operator will perform duties related to glass cutting, tempering, and handling in accordance with customer orders. All Production Laborers will be responsible for learning and working at all facility stations as required safely and productively.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work is physical in nature requiring ability to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must produce a finished product with standard tolerance.
  • Must have the ability to set up, operate and perform basic maintenance on all machines within the department.
  • Pre-state raw material (glass) according to work orders and place finished product in appropriate staging areas in accordance with established glass handling guidelines.
  • Gripping, cupping and clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and others.
  • Responsible for maintaining work area, inventory control, quality control in relation to the product being assembled, and meeting production needs set by management.
  • Must be dependable, hard-working, pro-active in performing assigned duties, ability to make sound decisions related to safety and have multi-task capabilities.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to be cross trained to perform job duties of other workstations.
  • Continuously work in a manner to ensure safety of self and others.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
