Qualifications

Job Summary:ย 

The Campus Accounting team of Trilogy Health Services is responsible for the accounting and reporting for Trilogy's health campus portfolio. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining, analyzing and verifying financial records as well as preparing financial and statistical reports for a subset of assigned campuses. This role will require an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls within a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepares and posts journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts monthly.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Reviews financial statements for proper accounting treatment of revenue and expense items and provides thoughtful commentary over historical trends in financial performance as well as performance to budget.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Engages with campus and home office leadership regarding monthly financial results which includes responding timely to inquiries and communicating items impacting financial results.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Generates ad-hoc reporting and assists management with interpretation and analysis of such reports.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Partners with campus and home office personnel on accounting-related issues.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participates in and contributes to process efficiency projects by bringing ideas to the team, taking on special projects (as needed) and having a solution-oriented mindset.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepares audit schedules and other reports for internal and external auditors.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:ย 

Education:ย  Bachelor Degree

Experience:ย  3-5 years

Licenses and Certifications:

CPA or MBA preferred

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
