Software Engineer III leads the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high reliability and efficiency through collaboration, innovative solutions, and rigorous code standards.
Responsibilities
  • Advances the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems
  • Drives the modification, documentation, and maintenance of software to ensure high reliability and availability
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address advanced technical challenges and optimize application performance
  • Analyzes system requirements and delivers innovative technical solutions to enhance software quality and efficiency
  • Completes code reviews and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards
  • Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
  • Applies AI tools to improve software design, coding, and testing practices and identifies opportunities to embed AI into development workflows while validating AI-generated recommendations prior to implementation and maintaining accountability for outputs
  • Guides team members on effective use of AI-assisted development tools

Qualifications
  • Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience in a professional environment working with Java technologies - Vertx, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful micro services, Ignite, In-Memory Computing, Spark, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Python, IntelliJ, Couchbase, OpenSearch and RESTful API's.
  • Hands-on experience with application design, software development and automated testing
  • Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and eloquent solutions.
  • Ability to learn and investigate new technology and business domains, question status quo and think outside of the box.
  • Ability to debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation.
  • Experience working in Agile or other rapid application development methods.
  • Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance) and related technologies (Karate, Postman, Cucumber, Playwright, Selenium, Jenkins, Github Actions).
  • Build automated CICD Pipelines with quality gates, test-automation and automated approvals.
  • Working experience of Public Cloud and related technologies (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in leveraging and building Agent Skills and prompt engineering.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
