The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise across Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and cloud security.
You will partner closely with Application Development, Platform Engineering, Information Security, Architecture, SRE, and Product teams to build secure, scalable, resilient, observable, and production-ready platforms that accelerate software delivery and improve developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and workloads.
  • Engineer and support Azure services including AKS, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, App Services, Key Vault, API Management, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Networking.
  • Design highly available, resilient, scalable, and secure cloud-native architectures.
  • Provision, administer, upgrade, patch, secure, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.
  • Manage Kubernetes ingress, autoscaling, networking, workload security, monitoring, and observability.
  • Implement enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, Service Principals, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Establish and enforce least-privilege access, cloud governance, and security standards.
  • Administer and automate GitHub Enterprise organizations, teams, repositories, branch protection, repository rulesets, security policies, secrets, and enterprise governance controls.
  • Configure and support GitHub Apps, OAuth integrations, webhooks, enterprise authentication, and GitHub Enterprise integrations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows and composite actions.
  • Provision, secure, scale, upgrade, and manage GitHub-hosted and self-hosted runners.
  • Implement secure, secretless authentication using OIDC, Managed Identities, Federated Credentials, and workload identity patterns.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Packer and ARM Templates.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Azure services and Kubernetes environments.
  • Implement modern deployment strategies including Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments.
  • Establish DevSecOps controls, automated quality gates, and software supply chain security practices.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, IAM, networking, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments.
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture standards, operational runbooks, and engineering best practices.
  • Partner with development teams to improve platform reliability, deployment velocity, security, developer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance across multiple teams and cloud platform initiatives.

Required Skills/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience in enterprise environments.

  • Extensive experience administering GitHub Enterprise in large or complex environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline engineering.
  • Experience with GitHub Apps, OAuth, OIDC, self-hosted runners, repository security, and enterprise governance.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and automation scripting.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Security, DevSecOps, CI/CD, enterprise governance, and software supply chain security.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, observability, and performance management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while providing technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • GitHub Actions certification.
