Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Analytics Platform DevOps Engineer to be part of its central Products, Platforms, and Toolsgroup in the office of the CTO. This role requires someone comfortable writing code who canboth implement and help set standards and best practices to automate creation of cloud resources-including Databricks and Unity Catalog-in a complex environment.This engineering professional will be focused on Analytics Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and Security/Risk techniques necessary to build successful (minimal risk) solutions for large commercial enterprises and public sector customers. The engineer will leverage expertise in deploying and managing Databricks environments, alongside other cloud-driven architectures, to improve consistency, safety, and operational excellence. Partnering with IT Architecture and IT Security team, this leader will build from re-usable components highly secure and repeatable solutions / frameworks that will be used in proposals and as delivery structures to accelerate the delivery. The successful engineer will partner with business segments to build novel solutions, as well as harvesting successful solutions into a common catalog.
What You Will Do:

As a Full Stack Analytics DevOps Engineer, you will:

  • Build, automate, and operate enterprise analytics platforms using Terraform, GitHub, Kubernetes, and GitOps to create secure, repeatable, and scalable cloud environments.
  • Develop next-generation analytics infrastructure by modernizing legacy deployments and implementing hardened CI/CD workflows aligned with Zero Trust and cloud governance best practices.
  • Create reusable modules, templates, and reference architectures to help product teams move faster and strengthen platform standardization.
  • Integrate and operationalize third-party libraries, APIs, and partner technologies across end-to-end cloud solutions.
  • Support engineering excellence through code commits, PR reviews, automation improvements, and enhanced platform observability.
  • Improve containerized workloads across Azure and AWS, and increase efficiency on analytic platforms such as Databricks, Posit Workbench, and Posit Connect.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and security organizations to help ensure compliance, resiliency, and policy alignment.
  • Leverage tools such as GitHub, Jira, and ServiceNow as part of a mature DevSecOps operating model.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (or similar) role OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Strong knowledge of Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

  • Strong knowledge of Security principles, 12 Factor App design.

  • Experience working in public cloud (specifically Azure or AWS).

  • Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes or technologies.

  • Experience in Agile CI/CD cloud deployment techniques.

  • Demonstrated capabilities to apply policy driven frameworks to cloud deployments. inclusive of micro-services (Kubernetes) alongside terraform or similar IaC techniques.

  • Knowledge of modern development languages with deep 3-4yrs experience in at least one (python, golang, javascript).

  • Experience deploying or maintaining Big Data or analytics platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, RedShift, BigQuery, Synapse.

  • Experience working in version control platforms such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.

  • Experience with agile management tools like Jira, GitHub Projects, or Azure DevOps.

  • Strong communications and leadership skills with a demonstrated capability to drive change within organizations and for clients.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience configuring Helm charts, writing Terraform, administrating Azure and/or AWS, working in Docker.

  • Have knowledge of containerization through Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.

  • Ability to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms and architectural options, as well as being able to document use cases, solutions and recommendations.

  • Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS) preferred.

  • Client-facing skills with the capability of facing off with a variable set of client stakeholders from SME's to key executives.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
