Job Summary:
Royal Caribbean Group is a leader in the vacation industry, offering innovative travel experiences through its global brands. They are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Office, responsible for managing GitHub and Azure DevOps, migrating assets, and supporting cloud infrastructure operations across Azure and AWS environments.
Responsibilities:
• Administer all aspects of the GitHub and Azure DevOps organizations, including user management, permissions, and policy enforcement across multiple teams.
• Lead and execute the migration of pipelines, repositories, and related assets from Azure DevOps to GitHub.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD workflows for solutions including container app deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and data platform integrations.
• Implement and enforce repository standards, branch protection rules, and configuration file governance across all repositories.
• Establish and maintain security controls within the GitHub organization, covering repository access, workflow permissions, secret management, and supply chain security.
• Provision, configure, and manage self-hosted GitHub Actions runners to optimize workflow execution efficiency and cost.
• Partner with the cloud operations team to administer, monitor, and provision Azure resources, ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
• Support infrastructure operations in AWS as needed, contributing to provisioning and access control efforts.
• Document platform standards, runbooks, and architectural decisions to support team scalability and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5–7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Expertise administering GitHub at enterprise scale, including Actions, branch protections, CODEOWNERS, and organization-level governance
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, and platform administration)
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines from development through production
• Experience enforcing code quality standards, including linting, testing, and repository governance
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, including secrets management, secure workflows, and dependency scanning
• Experience managing self-hosted CI/CD runners, including provisioning, scaling, patching, and cost optimization
• Experience with Azure cloud services (compute, networking, monitoring, RBAC); AWS experience considered
• Proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell for automation and tooling
• Familiarity with security and compliance tools (e.g., Snyk, Orca Security)
• Experience supporting or building platforms for Databricks or similar data engineering environments
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, auditing, or reporting
• Experience operating within enterprise data platforms or Center of Excellence (CoE) governance models
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and business stakeholders
