We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Integration Platforms team to design, develop, secure, and maintain enterprise APIs. The Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing API solutions while driving automation, DevSecOps practices, and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support APIs and web services that enable data integration. Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team to deliver scalable and reliable integration solutions.
  • Partner with Architecture and Development teams to implement enterprise integration and API strategies
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based services using modern integration and API management platforms.
  • Implement API security standards, including OAuth, JWT, JWE, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Have good emotional intelligence and empathy when interacting with others.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture initiatives.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable API solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Software Engineering experience. Bachelors in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.  A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Experience with Java 17 or newer along with Spring or Spring Boot experience
  • Experience in designing and developing RESTful service and SOAP-based service.
  • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Serve
  • Experience building applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience developing applications with AI tools like GitHub Copilot
  • Experience developing APIs and web services using API management and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Apigee, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) platforms is a plus

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
