Job description

Interpret, Analyze and extract roadway data from street-level imagery to provide location and descriptive information about roadway infrastructure to be used in GIS databases. Create, edit and manage GIS data layers. Creation of maps for customers. 

Position Requirements 

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Able to follow set procedures and rules for data extraction 

  • Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions 

  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week during business hours 

  • Possession of and ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage consistent with the law 

  • Available for travel (up to 30%) 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, GIS or related fields 

  • At least one year of hands-on experience and demonstrated proficiency with ESRI GIS Software 

Expected Requirements 

  • Excellent driving record 

  • Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online 

  • Development and maintenance of databases; data creation/editing/conversion 

  • Map production; GIS creation and editing 

  • Spatial Analysis, mapping, modeling and reporting
