Job description

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring an Assistant Engineer to join our Water Resources Water Supply Division.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with the development of technical analyses, preparing designs, drafting construction plans, and preparing construction specifications as well as project scheduling, site inspections, construction cost estimating and construction assistance.
This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.
  • Preparing technical analyses and engineering designs
  • Performing hydraulic modeling and conducting analyses for planning studies
  • Conducting condition assessments of existing facilities
  • AutoCAD Drafting and GIS Exhibit Development
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in relevant duties.
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • E.I.T. Certification or ability to obtain it within 6 months and valid CA driver's license.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, organize, and analyze engineering data.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective teamwork and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location.
