To assist in the development, manipulation, organization, analysis, and
presentation of GIS data.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other

duties may be assigned.

  • Updating the basemap with real estate documents

  • Standardizing the district basemap features to be consistent with each campus.

  • Add utilities, MEP systems, Sustainability features and other features to the campus maps.

Knowledge

Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate,

with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions

of the job can be performed.

  • Mapping principles including creating and editing maps, buildinglayers, importing external data and shape files.

  • Location and geocoding concepts as related to mapping.

  • Using data analysis in the context of location for trends and patterns.

Skills

Must possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate,

with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions

of the job can be performed.

  • Maintaining an established work schedule.

  • Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills includingtact and diplomacy.

  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attentionto detail and follow-through.

Required Work Experience

  • One year related experience.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a College level course in GIS.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling,pushing, and pulling.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.

Safety

  • Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working

conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to

prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.

Pay Rate

$24.10/hr
