Department Overview

The Execution performance team is a cross-functional organization that is leading PG&E’s Electric Operations metrics and data programs. The department is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, transparency, and accountability. Our mission is to ensure that all safety concerns, regulatory compliance issues, and operational hazards are identified, reported, and addressed promptly and effectively.  The Report it program is a business and technology program to allow customers to submit possible safety concerns via a mobile and web application. Report it works with multiple stakeholders due to the breadth of issues and resolutions required for each case submission.  A strong partnership with existing IT business systems and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value. The department and Report it Program are integral to PG&E’s commitment to operational excellence and the well-being of our employees, contractors, and the communities we serve. By encouraging transparent reporting and rigorous analysis, we strive to uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance in all our operations.

The Report it program is comprised of multi-disciplinary coworkers with deep functional and industry expertise to design and implement end-to-end business processes and technology solutions following industry leading practices. The team partners closely with IT and external partners to work collaboratively with many stakeholders to adopt standard processes and maximize use of the Report it application technology solutions to meet business needs. Position Summary

Examines and reviews the Report it case submissions and data from the customer regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines. Incumbents identify possible safety concerns in the case submissions of the customer, prepare reports and recommendations and validate determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed.

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to report to their assigned office location at least one day per week. The remaining days may be worked remotely, depending on business needs. The headquarters location is flexible and must be within the PG&E service territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $53.85 to $90.38.

Job Responsibilities

•    Serves as the subject matter expert (SME), providing oversight and guidance on more complex notification field scenarios and working on ad-hoc or special requests the program.
•    Reviews Report it case submissions, attached pictures, identifies maps and other information submitted from the application/general public in company systems (such as SAP, Salesforce, GIS, Foundry etc.) to analyze and triage the case submission.
•    Returns incomplete case submissions to originator for more information and ensures all records and findings are maintained for potential future audits.
•    Directs internal quality audit efforts. Develops reports describing audit findings, observations, and trends, and presents findings and makes recommendations to management.
•    Develops job aids and guidance documents related to new or revised standards or work procedures, including providing training to other triage specialists.
•    Creates notifications, corrective notifications and other notification types based off of the submitted possible safety concern.
•    Assists in the review of notifications validated by new Specialists for accuracy and quality, trains and mentors new coworkers, and assists others using established processes, practices, and procedures, and acts as a lead for contractors or supplemental internal resources.
•    Identifies process improvement opportunities and leads the implementation of approved projects, working with peers to develop and improve processes.
•    Performs quality assurance reviews, as applicable, based on the case submissions.
•    Assists leaders in evaluating metric results and outliers and provides back-up support for the team. 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Experience as Senior Inspection Review Specialist, or job-related, 6 months
  • Utility industry experience, or other job-related, 7yrs
  • Ability to travel up to 15 percent of working time

Desired:

•    Experience as Senior Vegetation Inspection Specialist (VMI), 12 months
•    International Society of Arboriculture, Certified Arborist
•    Experience and knowledge of the Report It program
•    Experience working in SAP–, ZNOTIF, ZNMTN.
•    Master knowledge and understanding of relevant federal, state, and local Vegetation codes and standards, and PG&E construction/Vegetation standards, bulletins and guidance documents.
•    Ability to build strong working relationships and to communicate effectively with coworkers and other teams.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
•    Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Vegetation preventive maintenance tasks including patrol and inspection.
•    Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills. 
•    Ability to lead and manage projects. 
•    Ability to train and mentor coworkers.
