Job description

Java Holdings Ltd. owns a portfolio of companies and provides high-level execution support for large utility, oil and gas, and power generation projects, with a focus on EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Management) services. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Developer to join our growing software development team in the Edmonton or Calgary area.

In this role, you will independently deliver high-quality software features, support production systems, and help configure business-critical workflows and integrations. You will work within established architecture and engineering standards while contributing practical ideas to improve quality, reliability, and team effectiveness.

This position is designed for a mid-level developer with 3-5 years of professional experience who is comfortable taking ownership of assigned work, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, and escalating risks or design gaps when needed.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and deliver assigned front-end components, back-end services, APIs, and application features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code in accordance with team standards and established architectural patterns.
  • Create and maintain automated tests to support solution quality and reliable releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, production issues, and application performance concerns.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, sprint planning, refinement, testing, and release activities.
