Position

Joint Trench Program Manager (Pinnacle Group)

Location

Raleigh, North Carolina (Fully remote but must be located in the market to attend on‑site meetings as needed)

Duration

06+ months contract

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joint Trench Program Manager to oversee and manage construction projects for cable/fiber operators, specifically in a joint trench environment. The role involves managing greenfield projects, ensuring timely delivery of conduit, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities
  • Select and submit Greenfield projects into Salesforce, tracking each stage through implementation in Sitetracker.
  • Complete OSP Feasibility and Cost Estimate assessments using desktop cost estimator tools.
  • Prepare SFU PASS models and BBO Intake forms for company assessment on exception requests.
  • Ensure on‑time delivery of conduit to approved project sites.
  • Support central team consolidation of joint trench performance using agreed‑upon standards.
  • Act as the Point‑of‑Contact for joint trench design companies, ensuring delivery of conduit plans and joint trench As‑Built documents.
  • Utilize data from Zonda and other permitting software to identify new greenfield opportunities.
  • Conduct field assessments to identify other fiber providers in the market and evaluate their joint trench activity in areas of interest.
Qualifications
  • Mandatory: 3 years of experience managing construction projects for cable/fiber operators, specifically in a joint trench environment.
  • Mandatory: 5 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or network construction.
  • Experience with CAD, GIS systems, and FTTH records/As‑Builts.
  • Experience working with Telecommunications Providers, Power Companies, or Cable Providers.
  • Experience in SFU Greenfield designs and builds.
  • Desired: 3 years of experience designing fiber networks and/or building to a designed fiber matrix.
  • Familiarity with common GIS applications such as 3GIS, QGIS, or Google Earth.
  • Experience working directly with home builders and developers for joint trench participation by telecommunications companies.
  • Experience managing projects involving team members from multiple disciplines.
  • Experience working with vendors and management.
Compensation

Pay Range: $50- $60.
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Full‑time consultants have access to benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401(k) contributions as well as any other PTO, sick leave, and other benefits mandated by applicable state or localities where you reside or work.
