GIS / Asset Management Solutions Specialist (Cityworks & Trimble Unity)
NV5 is seeking a GIS-focused Solutions Specialist with experience in Cityworks and/or Trimble Unity (Maintain, Permit) to support both solution delivery and client engagement. This role is intentionally flexible and can be scoped for Senior Analysts, Solutions Engineers, or Solutions Architects, depending on experience. You'll help design, configure, and deliver solutions while supporting client discussions, demos, and implementation efforts.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Solution Delivery & Configuration:
  • Support the design, configuration, and implementation of Cityworks and Trimble Unity solutions
  • Configure workflows, service requests, inspections, permits, and user roles
  • Assist with system integrations (Esri, APIs, third-party tools) and data migration
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to configuration, data quality, and performance
  • Participate in testing, validation, and go-live activities

Client Engagement:
  • Work with clients to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions
  • Participate in discovery sessions, workshops, and solution reviews
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout implementation

Solution Design & Architecture (Solutions Engineers - Solutions Architects):
  • Recommend system architecture and best practices aligned with client needs
  • Lead system assessments and identify improvement opportunities
  • Guide deployments, upgrades, and integrations

Pre-Sales & Business Support (Solutions Engineers - Solutions Architects):
  • Support or lead product demos and client presentations
  • Contribute to proposals, technical documentation, and solution scoping
  • Assist with estimates (LOE/ROM) and solution design for new opportunities

Team Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Help document best practices, configurations, and processes
  • Translate requirements into actionable tasks (Agile/Jira)

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Required (All Levels):
  • Experience with Cityworks and/or Trimble Unity (Maintain or Permit preferred)
  • Background in GIS systems (Esri / ArcGIS)
  • Experience in system configuration, implementation, or support
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred for Mid-Senior Levels:
  • Experience with solution design, integrations, or system architecture
  • Client-facing experience (workshops, demos, or consulting)
  • Exposure to APIs, data migration, or enterprise systems
  • Pre-sales or proposal support experience

Bonus Skills:
  • FME or other data integration tools
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Automation or enterprise system administration

Experience Levels (Guideline):
  • Senior Analyst: 3+ years, strong configuration and implementation support
  • Solutions Engineer: 5+ years, leads client interactions and solution delivery
  • Solutions Architect: 8+ years, owns architecture, strategy, and pre-sales leadership
