These jobs typically involve animal care, habitat maintenance, behavioral studies, and public education. Zookeepers, wildlife biologists, and conservationists often work with giraffes to ensure their well-being and protection.

Zookeepers responsible for giraffes often face unique challenges such as managing their specialized dietary needs, ensuring adequate space for exercise, and providing appropriate enrichment to stimulate natural behaviors. Additionally, giraffes require careful handling during veterinary procedures due to their size and sensitivity to stress. These challenges are typically addressed through ongoing training, collaboration with veterinary staff, and the use of customized husbandry protocols to ensure the health and well-being of the animals.
