Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 4:00:00 AM)

Pay Range: $25.20 - $39.69 per hour

Summary:
The Manager, Gift Shop works with Director overseeing inventory procurement and management, personnel management, and sales. In addition, the Manager, Gift Shop proposes for Director’s approval product assortment to maximize sales, controls inventory to maximize gross margin and increases product turnover. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED.
•5 year retail experience.
•Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
•Good organizational skills.
•Ability to multitask.
•Strong business sense and industry expertise.
•Ability to display product and optimize store layout.
•Effective problem solving skills to address customer concerns.
•Strong understanding of POS systems.
Physical Demands:
•Work requires the ability to move throughout the medical center.
•Work requires the ability to lift or carry objects up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities:
1.Tracks inventory using the current POS system, conducts physical inventory at year end or as needed, compiles inventory and sales reports, and adjusts inventory levels as needed.
2.Continually monitors sales reports and reacts accordingly to maximize profitability.
3.Actively manages receipt flow to maintain proper inventory levels and limit shrinkage.
4.4.Propose for Director’s approval pricing (and margin) strategies and for entering any price changes into the current POS system.
5.Manages full-time and part-time employees. Oversees, with Director’s guidance, training, scheduling, time management, and personnel development. Provides product and sales training for staff.
6.Work with Directo to provide essential leadership to build a cohesive staff that has a strong sense of customer service, product knowledge and motivation, including fostering a professional attitude and demeanor among the staff.
7.Ensures, with Director’s guidance, that the proper balance and mix of inventory is maintained to meet/exceed sales goals, obtains gross margin goals, and maximizes inventory turn.
12.Actively participates in budget planning process.
13.Frequently reviews employee payroll deduction accounts .
16.Monitors daily housekeeping/merchandising responsibilities and directing staff to maintain a fresh, well-organized, and clean appearance of the stores.
18.Continually analyzes the inventory to maximize full price selling opportunity.
19.Present yourself as ambassador and educator to the Rush community of the Gift Shops’ mission: 100% of profits are re-invested in Rush.
20.Creates marketing/selling and visual plans to increase customer base and better serve current and potential customer base.
