About the Indiana State Park Inns

As one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country, the Indiana State Park Inns proudly operates seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana. Each one offers a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!

Located just outside Nashville, Indiana, Abe Martin Lodge is nestled in the picturesque hills of Indiana’s largest state park, Brown County State Park. The lodge features 84 guest rooms, the Little Gem Restaurant, cabins, an indoor water park, and over 6,000 square feet of banquet/conference space

Role Overview

At the Indiana State Park Inns, success is based on teamwork, quality, integrity, loyalty, passion, friendliness, and safety. Indiana State Park Inns workers provide friendly customer service while ensuring the general upkeep of the inn to provide guests with a high-quality experience.

Abe Martin Lodge is currently actively looking for a Maintenance Technician! 

A Day in the Life:

Guest Services employees serve as front-line customer service to guests of the Inns. Guest Services Worker positions and their essential functions are as follows: 

  • Camp Store Attendant: Responsible for assisting guests in the selection and purchase of items from the camp store. 
    • This position starts at $12.65 per hour.
  • Concessions Attendant: Responsible for assisting guests in the selection and purchase of items from concessions.
    • This position starts at $12.65 per hour.
  • Gift Shop Attendant: Responsible for assisting guests in the selection and purchase of items from the gift shop.
    • This position starts at $12.65 per hour.
  • Guest Services Representative: Responsible for assisting guests by providing information, answering questions, resolving issues, and handling front-desk monetary responsibilities.
    • This position starts at $14.23 per hour.
  • Night Auditor: Responsible for front-desk operations during the hours of 11 pm to 7 am to maintain high standards of service and hospitality for guests. 
    • This position starts at $16.45 per hour.
  • Maintenance Technician: Responsible for assisting in repairs, preventive maintenance, and remodeling projects to maintain a high-quality property standard.  
    This position starts at $15.23 per hour.
What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Ability to take care of guests’ needs in a professional manner.
  • Should expect to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • May be required to wear an Indiana State Park Inns-provided uniform.
  • May experience working in potentially inclement weather.
  • No degree is required to fill this position.
Benefits of Employment with the Indiana State Park Inns:

Indiana State Park Inns supplements its full-time workforce with intermittent and part-time employees to effectively manage the workload. Management will determine which positions are considered part-time and which are considered intermittent. Part-time and intermittent employees enjoy flexible scheduling, have opportunities to learn new skills, and experience working in one of the most beautiful places in Indiana!
 
Employees who are placed in intermittent positions work less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits. Employees who are placed in part-time positions work 30-36 hours per week and are eligible for a limited benefits package which includes medical insurance, paid time off, and new parent leave.
