Facility in Bismarck, ND seeking Holiday GI locums coverageRates: Orientation – $200/hrOn Call (Daily) – $3000 - Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratisCall Back – $500/hr – per hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed (after 4 hours)Holiday rates 1.5x regular ratesOpportunity Highlights
  • Coverage Windows: * November 23 – November 29 (Ending morning of Nov 30)
    • December 23 – January 3 (Ending morning of Jan 4)
  • Schedule: 24-hour call with approximately 8 hours of in-house hospital rounding and procedures.
  • Solo Coverage: You will be the only Gastroenterologist on assignment; no supervision of other providers is required.
  • Environment: Hospital rounding and procedures only. Support staff includes RNs and CRNAs in the endoscopy suite.
  • EMR: EPIC.
Clinical Scope & VolumeThis role is ideal for a physician looking to maintain procedural proficiency in an acute care setting.
  • Average Rounds: 5–6 patients per day.
  • New Consults: 1–2 per day.
  • Procedural Volume: 1–2 scopes per day; 1–2 ERCPs per week.
Required Procedures:
  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic: Colonoscopy (Biopsy/Polypectomy), Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD), Proctoscopy/Flexible Sigmoidoscopy.
  • Acute Management: Management of acute GI bleeds, Hemorrhoidal Banding, Esophageal Variceal Banding, Banding Lesions, and Dilation.
  • Access: PEG tube placement.
  • Inpatient: Management of hospitalized GI patients.
  • Highly Preferred: ERCP.
Provider Requirements
  • Board Status: Board Certified (Required).
  • Licensure: Active North Dakota license or IMLC eligible (Pending license accepted at offer).
  • Certifications: BLS, DEA (Required).
  • Experience: Case logs are required at the time of presentation to verify procedural experience.
  • Background: Clean malpractice preferred.
  • Submission Mandatory: A Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is required.

  • Timeframe: 60–90 days.
