Job description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated GI Technician to join their team. The primary responsibilities include direct assistance in endoscopic procedures, specifically EGDs and colonoscopies, while ensuring efficient setup and collaboration with providers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with EGDs and colonoscopies in a direct assist role.
  • Efficiently set up for procedures, which typically takes around 10 minutes.
  • Manage a patient volume of approximately 8-15 patients per day.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an endoscopic suite or as a specific GI tech.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Preferred experience in hospital endoscopic labs.

Skills
  • Technical proficiency in setting up and assisting in endoscopic procedures.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with a team-oriented environment.

Additional Requirements
  • Work shift from 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
  • Saturdays are optional/as-needed during peak season.
