AP/CP Hospital General Surgical Pathologist - Memphis, TN

AmeriPath Memphis, TN is seeking a Surgical Pathologist to work in a hospital setting in the Memphis, TN area. Case work will include surgical pathology biopsies, hospital cases, breast, lung, GI, GU, GYN, peripheral blood smears, and cytology. FNAs and Frozen Sections are expected. While this is a two person team at a hospital, you are part of a team that is remote; overflow work or consultations to colleagues at AmeriPath in Memphis is quick and easy with digital pathology capabilities.

Responsibilities:

The selected pathologist will provide professional oversight and direction of anatomic pathology services including quality assurance functions, medical directorships where indicated (per CLIA).

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting
  • Previous experience in management of other physician (i.e., pathologists) and/or laboratory personnel.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
  • MD or DO degree
  • Possess, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted Medical License to practice in the state of Tennessee, and other states as necessary.
