Job description


PRN Hospital Surgical Pathologist - Rolla, MO
AmeriPath Memphis, TN is seeking a PRN Surgical Pathologist to cover as needed onsite in a hospital setting in Rolla, Missouri. Case work will include surgical pathology biopsies, hospital cases, breast, lung, GI, GU, GYN, peripheral blood smears, and cytology. FNAs and Frozen Sections are expected. While this is a single position at a hospital, you are part of a team that is remote, overflow work or consultations to colleagues at AmeriPath in Memphis is quick and easy with digital pathology capabilities.
Responsibilities
The selected pathologist will provide professional oversight and direction of anatomic pathology services including quality assurance functions, medical directorship where indicated (per CLIA), and technical direction as required for the Missouri based hospital on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
  • MD or DO degree
  • Possess, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted Medical License to practice in the state of Missouri, Tennessee, and other states as necessary.
