Do you like an exciting, fast-paced environment? Do you want to be a part of new technology? GHSP, headquartered in West Michigan, is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive, transportation, and appliance industry.

In order to support our sales growth, GHSP is currently seeking a Key Account Manager for our Ford Account. Integrated within the Customer Business Unit, the Key Account Manager is responsible for the sales development of the assigned portfolio of technologies for Ford. This position is accountable for building key relationships and supporting the account strategy and business plan. The ideal candidate will understand the electronic control technologies and interface with customer purchasing and engineering to identify opportunities and solutions.

Areas of responsibility for the Key Account Manager include:

  • Plans and implements strategies to support the growth of strategic customers and elicits support from marketing, sales, and engineering to facilitate the planning and execution.
  • Defines the winning price together with the business unit based on market intelligence and drives the quotation process.
  • Serves as the customer liaison and facilitator for appropriate launch activity.
  • Negotiating new business contracts and working with the GHSP stakeholders to ensure GHSP has the appropriate level of protection.
  • Resolves discrepancies between GHSP quotations and customer purchase orders.
  • Facilitates, logs, and documents the processing of new opportunities.
  • Forecasts existing business as well as project new growth opportunities.
  • Works with the GHSP development/ launch teams to ensure appropriate authorizations of spending.
  • Creates presentations; maintains all metrics, sales forecasts, data generation and reporting.
  • Reviews and monitors internal metrics to proactively ensure we are meeting customer expectations.

Requirements for the position include the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electonic Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in Automotive Sales/Product Development.
  • Experience in leading customer development strategies for automotive customers, experience working with Ford preferred.
  • Ability to develop and lead a global sales team to support developed strategies.
  • Residence in the southeast Michigan area preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
