Job description

GF Hotels & Resorts has an exciting opportunity to lead our teams at the SpringHill Suites and TownPlace Suites by Marriott Minneapolis Eden Prairie as the Dual Property General Manager.


As the next general manager of our busy hotel, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to lead our staff and provide our customers with the finest service possible. We need a leader who thrives in presenting new and creative ideas to boost revenue and build good relationships with guests to ensure repeat business. Our ideal applicant is dedicated to providing excellent service and has at least 5 years of hospitality experience, preferably in a hotel management role. As the general manager, you will be in charge of human resource management functions such as interviewing, hiring, training, task assignment, coaching/counseling, and performance management. Compensation:

$105,000 - $120,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Empower hotel staff to excel in superior guest service to drive financial success through strong leadership and creative operational strategies
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts by developing a targeted strategy for publicizing the hotel's services and amenities
  • Create a budget to maximize profit margins while keeping costs in balance with guest satisfaction and quality of services
  • Enhance the hotel's reputation for quality by inspecting the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms, public areas, and surrounding grounds
  • Facilitate strategic planning, objectives, and a timetable of action for hotel department leaders that meets overall hotel goals

Qualifications:
  • A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in the hospitality field, is required
  • Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry required
  • Exhibit excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred
  • Prior hotel GM experience required
  • Prior Marriott experience highly preferred
