Job description

About the Position

The Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of the warehouse. Duties may include cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and stocking supplies in all warehouse areas, including break room and restrooms. The janitor must also be able to respond to business management needs in a timely and effective manner. Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to Brentwood office.

Work Hours and Location:

  • Scheduled shift will be from 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
  • Candidates must have weekend availability throughout the year as a part of their regular schedule, as occasional weekend shifts are an essential aspect of this position. Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may also be required based on the needs of the business.
  • The reporting location for this position is Brentwood, NY.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, restroom cleaning etc.)
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as needed
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Uses personal protective equipment correctly
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Shows initiative in regard to job functions and accepts new responsibilities
  • Timely completion of all assigned tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

· Some experience or knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment, desired

· Ability to work effectively with a team.

· Dependable, reliable, and punctual

· Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
