Job Summary:

As aStocking &Sales Associate, you will maintain a clean and healthy environment with stocked merchandise, use cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transitions and interact with the company's customers constantly throughout your day while providing superior customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Stocks and rotates products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost.
  • Greets customers as they enter the location and meet company customer service standards.
  • Maintains a clean and healthy work environment according to company standards.
  • Adheres to all laws and regulations regarding the sale of any government regulated product or service.
  • Offer product suggestions when appropriate
  • Operates the point-of-sale system and other available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
  • Accepts money in the form of cash and credit or debit cards for items purchased; validates amounts and provides appropriate change following company cash control policies and procedures.
  • Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies.
  • Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy.
  • Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
  • Bag, box, and wrap purchased items.
  • Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
  • Notifies management of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Customer service and sales with wine & spirits experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Comprehend and perform basic mathematical skills.
  • Understand and perform basic computer and point-of-sale skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling regularly is required.
  • Must be willing to work nights,weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
