Role Summary
PDF is seeking an experiencedย Seniorย Electron Optics Engineerย to work on PDFโs electronย beam inspection tool used for enhancing yield in state-of-the-art 300mm semiconductor fabs. Responsibilities
- Simulate electron optics columns and validate models using experimental dataย ย
- Developย new modes of column operationย andย drive column architecture design improvementsย ย
- Lead column tuning, characterization and performance optimization
- Develop test plans, collectย experimental dataย and analyze dataย setsย usingย scripting toolsย
- Create system requirements, error budgetsย andย tolerance analysis stack-upsย ย
- Define specifications and acceptance tests for critical components
- Diagnoseย and resolveย complexย issuesย involvingย electron optics, imagingย systems, vacuumย systems, andย electronicsย
- Collaborate with software, systems, electrical, mechanical and manufacturing teamsย
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and share findings with internal collaboratorsย
- Drive innovationย and technology development for next-generation toolsย
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experienceย
- PhD inย Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, and over 5 years of relevant work experienceย
- Expertiseย in electron opticsย and a proven track recordย inย designingย and operatingย electron beamย columnsย
- Background in theย development, modeling, testing andย characterization of electron sourcesย
- Proficiency with electron optics simulation software (eg.ย MEBS, SIMION)ย
- Experience runningย finite element software packages (e.g. COMSOL, OPERA)ย
- Proficiency with a scripting language (e.g. Python,ย Matlab)ย
- Experience with CAD software (e.g. SOLIDWORKS)ย
- Experience with high vacuum systemsย
- Experience with high voltage power suppliesย and electron beam electronicsย
- Background inย surface science and experience running simulations of electron-material interactionsย ย
- Experience with voltage contrastย imagingย
- Experience working withย semiconductor manufacturing toolsย
Pay Range
USD $160,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.Qualifications:
