Join a global financial services organization committed to safeguarding sensitive information across complex enterprise environments. The Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) function plays a critical role in strengthening data governance, monitoring data loss prevention (DLP) controls, and responding to audit-driven cyber health initiatives. The team operates in a highly regulated environment where precision, documentation discipline, and cross-regional collaboration are essential.

This is an opportunity to work alongside data security leaders, governance SMEs, and technology teams to enhance the organization’s data risk posture while supporting both U.S. and Japan-based stakeholders in a bilingual capacity. The environment is structured, fast-paced, and mission-driven, with strong executive visibility.

What’s In Store For You:

  • High-impact work tied to audit findings and enterprise-wide data protection strategy

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Support validation and remediation of findings identified through enterprise cyber health assessments
  • Analyze data from data security posture management tools (e.g., Varonis) and perform structured risk reviews
  • Conduct outreach to Japanese- and English-speaking stakeholders to validate findings and coordinate remediation
  • Track responses, maintain remediation logs, and provide regular progress updates to leadership
  • Monitor alerts from Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies such as Proofpoint and Microsoft Purview
  • Perform initial triage, escalation, and incident validation in accordance with internal procedures
  • Assist in the identification of report-level data risk factors and contribute to risk scoring model development
  • Leverage data governance tools (e.g., Collibra) and issue management systems to support risk assessments
  • Create and refine process documentation, playbooks, and assessment procedures
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reporting dashboards to track remediation progress and policy effectiveness
  • Partner with technical SMEs to tune DLP policies and reduce false positives

Are you an experienced data risk and DLP professional ready to make an impact in a bilingual environment?

  • 5–10+ years of experience in data governance, data risk, or data loss prevention within financial services or other regulated industries
  • Professional-level fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written) required
  • Experience working with DLP and/or data security tools such as Varonis, Proofpoint, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting risk model development, risk scoring methodologies, or structured assessment frameworks
  • Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra or issue management platforms
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data aggregation for reporting
  • Experience drafting SOPs, playbooks, or formal documentation for audit or regulatory purposes
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into actionable insights
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in structured, compliance-driven environments
