Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Meet or exceed plan for revenues, volume, and gross margin of Business unit products and other products as instructed.
  • Represent JRSUSA in BU Industry, BU Technical, BU Road market(s) including, but not limited to Building materials, Seal Coating, Horticulture, DOT and Oilfield Applications. Establish relationship with manufacturers, DOT's and Industry Influencers.
  • Participate in creation of new business growth strategy including new customers, products, and applications with National Sales Manager.
  • Handle direct sales to end users and through distribution.
  • Maintain records of activities via established call and sales reporting methods.
  • Organize, exhibit in, and present at appropriate trade shows, conferences, and expositions.
  • Frequently travel to customer sites and market events.
  • Develop relationships with key upper level decision makers at target accounts.
  • Develop new customer leads through membership in business and technical associations and other means.
  • Generate price quotations in SAP.
  • Proactively contact road construction specifiers to solicit cellulose fiber business.
  • Research customer, competition, application, and market information.
  • Create sales call reports and appropriate customer data.
  • Have detailed understanding of BU Industry, BU Technical and BU Road Construction market products, volumes and pricing.
  • Work with National Sales Manager to create tactical and strategic sales growth plans.
  • Guide new market entry plans for products with recycled raw materials, including marketing materials, literature, guiding documentation, and technical understanding.
  • Lead strong effort in coordination with Account Managers and National Sales Manager on new product concepts
  • and development.
  • Create sales forecasts for production planning and annual budget process.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Attend at sales meetings and other organized company events as required on a periodic basis.
  • Generate product sample requests.
  • Route and, if appropriate, complete customer inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in science, engineering or in business paired with a strong technical aptitude.
  • Proven consistent sales/sales management track record.
  • Strong sense of customer urgency.
  • Able to effectively communicate by telephone, in person, and in writing.
  • Competent use of business English in formal communication via email, letter and presentations.
  • Experience with international business partners, specifically German, a plus
  • Adept in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, and Power Point.
  • Able to perform business math calculations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
