Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Chaplain to join our team! The Chaplain is responsible for providing Pastoral leadership in coordinating all ministerial activities including spiritual, religious, and personal counseling/guidance to residents, family members and staff. Functions as a key contact with clergy from the community surrounding the campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of all religious gatherings for all levels of care, including memorial services, prayer meetings, bible studies, communion, theological lecture series, etc.
  • Develop routine communications with local clergy, working to keep residents and their chosen clergy connected.
  • Manage and participate in visitation program to offer support to residents, family members and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Ordained Minister, Masters of Divinity or Master of Arts in Theology, or Chaplain certification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years' ministry experience in a congregation, hospital chaplaincy, mission or para-church ministry.
  • Clinical training in approved geriatric counseling programs or pastoral experience in a congregate living situation is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with ministries to seniors is required.
  • Demonstrates the ability to set and establish priorities.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Available to work occasional weekends and holidays
