Job description

Overview

Gregori Geotechnical Services LLC (GGS) is growing and we have an opportunity to hire a Geotechnical Project Manager. Your responsibilities will consist of the following: the review of geotechnical subsurface investigations, geotechnical design, construction management, plan reading, project estimating, problem solving in large and small diameter projects (building foundations, transmission line foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls and landslides, horizontal jack & bore culverts), client interface as well as the overall management and coordination of projects we are bidding and constructing.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years management of Geotechnical Projects

• The ideal candidate for this position has project management experience and strong client relationship development and communication skills along with technical skills and an ability to develop additional staff and manage a team

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical engineering, OR equal work experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Word, and Excel, knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid and Heavy Job is a plus

• Professional licensure (PE) is a plus, but not required

• Solid written and oral communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and willingness to take on diverse challenges

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel out of town

Responsibilities

• Oversee project quality and exemplary high level of service to clients

• Manage project life cycles from cradle-to-grave

• Negotiate and agree on project scope, job tasks, contract terms, budget, and schedule with clients

• Oversee and prepare technical reports

• Prepare project estimates and proposals, develop new clients as needed

• Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, colleagues, and managers

• Develop new business to support revenue goals

• Take a leading role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships by satisfying customer questions and needs

While GGS is young, it is assisted by it's sister company, Gregori Construction Inc., which has been in business for 35 years and has developed processes, methods and policies that are best in class.
