Job Description

Provide expert level support for the design, compilation, and presentation of compelling digital and hard copy media information products about complex subjects related to the use of geospatial technology for natural resource management.  Products include cartographic products, posters, brochures, presentations, website content, graphical user interfaces, etc.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this position include all of the following:
Demonstrated experience designing digital and hard copy media products (e.g., websites, publications, newsletters, booklets, directories, brochures, presentations, etc.). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of ArcPro, Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.) and relevant Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Associate's degree related to graphic design or physical / biological / environmental / natural resources discipline with substantive coursework in graphic communications or advertising, and seven (7) years of relevant professional work experience in conducting and managing internal and external graphics communications.
-OR- Bachelor's degree related to graphic design or physical / biological / environmental / natural resources discipline with substantive coursework in graphic communications or advertising, and five (5) years of relevant professional work experience in conducting and managing internal and external graphics communications.
-OR- Graduate degree related to graphic design or physical / biological / environmental / natural resources discipline with substantive coursework in graphic communications or advertising, and three (3) years of relevant professional work experience in conducting and managing internal and external graphics communications.
-OR- PhD degree related to computer science, geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environmental discipline, including emphasis or coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling, and one (1) year of relevant professional work experience in conducting and managing internal and external graphics communications.
