Job description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Geospatial Analyst for the Orange County area. This ideal candidate must be a self-starter who enjoys working both independently as well as with a great team. Will be responsible for performing desktop geospatial analysis to locate missing pole assets and pole identification.  This is a hybrid position which requires two days in the office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Synthesize a variety of GIS data for use in analysis and mapping products for multiple-disciplinary departments in the company
  • Review field captured photographic evidence and documents when key information is found
  • Produce high quality cartographic products for reports, meetings, and presentations
  • Experience consolidating research and field evidence and preparing documentation necessary to perform System of Record corrections
  • Ability to identify missing records in Records Management Systems (SAP, cGIS, Circuit Mapping)
  • Research and make recommendations on how to correct asset records that have conflicting details between field condition and digital records
  • Conduct a variety geoprocessing and GIS analysis tasks
  • Ability to manage maps and data in ArcGIS online
  • Coordinate GIS functions and uses other departments and agencies

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Science with an emphasis in GIS
  • Three to Five years of experience in the field of analysis
  • Strong data management and cartographic skills
  • Two or more years working with AutoCAD, Map 3D, ArcGIS, or ArcGIS online of ESRI
  • Two or more years of experience working with Excel functions using VLOOKUP and IF
  • Spatial capabilities including the ability to read a map, decipher directions, and interpret multiple input of information to make logical conclusions
  • Two or more years of experience identifying problem statements, root cause analysis, solution review, tracking, and reporting
  • Technical writing functions experience is required mapping out process flows/documentation and making recommendations
  • GIS best Practice and Standards knowledge
  • Experience with Records Management Systems (SAP, ESRI, ArcGIS, SAS) desired
  • Experience using business applications to create and edit complex reports, graphs, and presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication along with strong time management skills
