Description
Markon is seeking a Data Scientist to support the Fort Meade customer by analyzing and visualizing Radio Frequency (RF), ELINT, and Technical SIGINT data in support of Advanced Weapons and Counter Proliferation (AWCP) mission objectives. This role develops data-driven insights by manipulating complex datasets, creating meaningful visualizations, and supporting technology discovery across RF signal environments. Working within a collaborative analytical environment, the Data Scientist contributes to mission-focused analysis that enhances operational awareness and technical decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, manipulate, and visualize ELINT and Technical SIGINT datasets to support mission operations and technology discovery.
  • Develop data processing workflows that transform complex datasets into actionable intelligence products.
  • Create visualizations and analytical products that communicate trends, patterns, and technical findings to mission stakeholders.
  • Support Advanced Weapons and Counter Proliferation (AWCP) initiatives through data analysis and technical research.
  • Analyze RF data to support identification and characterization of communications technologies, including VHF, DMR, and related signal types.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and mission partners to support data exploitation and mission planning activities.
  • Validate data quality and assist in developing methods to improve data integrity and analytical accuracy.
  • Document analytical methodologies, processes, and technical findings to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
  • Stay current with emerging data science techniques and RF technologies that support Intelligence Community missions.

Qualifications
Required
  • TS/SCI with Active Polygraph with this Customer.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing complex datasets.
  • Experience working with ELINT, Technical SIGINT, RF data, or comparable technical datasets.
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) communications and signal technologies, including VHF, DMR, or related systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Desired
  • Experience supporting Advanced Weapons and Counter Proliferation (AWCP) missions.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, MATLAB, or other data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience with RF signal analysis or geospatial visualization.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community mission systems or technical intelligence analysis.

Salary Range
USD $135,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
