Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the automation of Amazon Logistics delivery stations across North America and Europe. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team for new product development, identify and select strategic suppliers, lead complex negotiations, and ensure seamless project from technology proof of concept development to scale up strategy and execution.
Key job responsibilities
Supplier Selection and Qualification:
o Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on capabilities, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
o Lead the negotiation process to secure favorable terms and conditions for our organization.
o Conduct rigorous supplier qualification processes to assess their ability to meet our quality, delivery, and performance standards.
Project Execution:
o Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to ensure timely and efficient execution.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project stays on track.
Supply Chain Optimization:
o Continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
o Develop and Implement strategies to scale up the technologies across regions with qualified suppliers
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and address any issues promptly.
Risk Management:
o Identify and assess potential supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, quality issues, or geopolitical factors.
o Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of these risks.
A day in the life
The Supply Chain team owns the supply chain set-up and readiness for all new programs and products across multiple engineering categories (equipment, fixtures consumables etc.). We bring last & middle mile's ambitious goals to life by partnering with a wide set of stakeholders in Worldwide Engineering, WHS, Design, Operations and Procurement. We program manage vendors during the design, deployment, and change management stages. We partner internally and externally to deliver program milestones, cost, quality and sustainability.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of managing procurement teams with direct experience in supplier/supply chain experience
- Experience in strategic sourcing for high tech electronics/computing/communications fields
- Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
- Experience managing procurement teams with direct experience in supplier/supply chain management
- Bachelor's degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
