Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead a cross-functional procurement organization spanning Direct, Indirect, and CAPEX purchasing, teams, building supplier partnerships, and driving the strategic initiatives that protect quality, cost, and delivery. You will own the procurement components of our 1000 Day Plan (our strategic roadmap for growth), shape global alignment with international counterparts, and build a high-performing team that makes lasting impact.
Do you enjoy leading and inspiring teams?
Have you successfully executed strategies and driven results?
Are you willing to take risks and think boldly?
If your answer is YES, then you're in the right place.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing procurement team across Direct, Indirect, and CAPEX functions, unifying tools, processes, and KPIs under a single, cohesive strategy.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and growth: provide meaningful coaching, timely performance feedback, and development opportunities that help every team member do their best work.
  • Partner with HR on talent development and succession planning to ensure the team scales with the business.
  • Serve as the cross-functional bridge to Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Legal, IT, and Global Purchasing, aligning priorities and removing barriers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive category sourcing strategies across metals, plastics, chemicals, valves, and CAPEX.
  • Build and manage a supplier scorecard and qualification process that holds partners to Viega's standards for quality, service, and cost.
  • Lead contract negotiations, source selection, and supplier relationship management, always seeking continuous improvement in performance and value.
  • Identify and develop alternate sources to mitigate risk and ensure supply continuity.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, including expenditure approval, forecasting, and accurate capital expenditure reporting.
  • Design and execute supply chain risk mitigation strategies that address geopolitical, economic, and operational factors before they become disruptions.
  • Drive the procurement components of Viega's 1000 Day Plan- tracking progress, adapting as needed, and communicating clearly with leadership.
  • Establish and maintain procurement policies on ethics, quality, delivery, and cost using Master Purchase Agreements, e-procurement platforms, and other tools.
  • Analyze market dynamics, cost trends, and supplier performance data to generate actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Lead identification and realization of cost reduction and savings opportunities, including bulk negotiations and cross-functional process improvements.
  • Maintain master data quality across all purchasing records and provide accurate, real-time project summaries and budget tracking.

What You Bring
Experience & Education
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including leading and developing purchasing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Purchasing, Operations, Materials Management, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • CPM, CPSM, CPIM, CSPC, or equivalent certification is a plus (ASCM/APICS welcomed).
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and supply chain risk.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, MRP systems, and e-procurement platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills- you turn data into decisions and use metrics to tell the story of performance.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Product Development to drive results.
  • A skilled communicator who can influence at all levels and navigate complex, cross-functional organizations.
  • A natural leader who builds trust, develops talent, and brings out the best in the people around you.
