Job description
Provide geotechnical engineering support and consulting services for a variety of projects and clients under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers. Responsibilities may include assisting with field investigations, subsurface explorations, soil logging, construction observation, and sample collection. Perform basic engineering analyses, calculations, and evaluations using geotechnical data to support project recommendations and design efforts.
Assist in the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports, technical memoranda, plans, specifications, and construction documents. Review laboratory and field testing results for accuracy and inclusion in project deliverables. Conduct site visits and construction observations to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and geotechnical recommendations.
Support project teams with proposal preparation, cost estimating, project tracking, and data management. Research and help resolve geotechnical design and construction issues while developing practical engineering solutions. Apply fundamental engineering principles to interpret data, communicate findings, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Gain experience working on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, public infrastructure, commercial development, energy, industrial facilities, and other civil engineering applications. This role provides opportunities for professional growth, technical training, and progression toward professional licensure.
