Title: Project Engineer - Civil
Location: Shorewood, IL
Hire Type: Direct

Overview:

Key Responsibilities
ยท Prepare and develop roadway and transportation design plans in accordance with IDOT standards, manuals, and procedures
ยท Perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and design documentation for various project phases (Phase I/II/III as applicable)
ยท Apply IDOT design criteria including geometric design, drainage, maintenance of traffic, and specifications
ยท Coordinate with internal team members, including project managers, CAD staff, and other discipline engineers
ยท Review and check design work prepared by junior engineers and technicians for accuracy and compliance
ยท Assist in the preparation of project deliverables, reports, and contract documents
ยท Participate in IDOT coordination meetings and respond to agency comments as needed
ยท Support project schedules and deliverable deadlines through efficient design production
ยท Maintain familiarity with current IDOT policies, manuals, and evolving standards

Qualifications:

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
