This opportunity is ideal for students currently enrolled in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related programs who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in both field and office environments. You are curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn from experienced survey professionals. Success in this role means supporting accurate data collection, producing quality drawings, and contributing to safe and efficient project delivery.

A Day in the Life

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist survey crews with field data collection, layout, and site measurements
  • Support the use of survey equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and data collectors
  • Assist with drafting and data processing using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software
  • Prepare and organize survey data, field notes, and drawings
  • Support office-based tasks related to surveying and geomatics projects
  • Work collaboratively with surveyors, engineers, and project teams
  • Follow safety procedures and site-specific requirements at all times
  • Learn industry best practices while contributing to real-world projects

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Currently enrolled in a Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related program
  • Interest in surveying, geomatics, and drafting work
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting software is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Willingness to work in field environments when required
